It got its name as it is made of wheat flour that shaped into noodle thread and swirled like the shell of a snail, or siput in Malay. can be fried and eat as snack food(deep-fried in cooking oil until crispy and crunchy), can be cooked as noodles ( noodles soup, char mee, mee hailam …), no preservatives at all.
